Crossfit Dallas Central is proud to announce its newest fall competition! We're introducing a very simple format this year, and we think everyone will enjoy the competition style. The competition will consist of three events this season, events that globally encompass all three energy pathways and all ten general physical skills.
Packet Pick Up and Competition Procedure Update:
ALL COMPETITORS SHOULD ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 7:30AM.
Packet pick up for athletes will be held this Friday (12/11) at Luke's Locker on Oak Lawn from 4-7pm. Packet includes information detailing each event and movement standards, the schedule for the day some freebies from our sponsorship companies, and need to know information for competition day.
For our out-of-town athletes, we'll also have early morning packet pick up Saturday (12/12) at CrossFit Dallas Central from 7-8am.
Each athlete will be weighed at packet pick up to get an accurate body weight for the scoring of event #1, as well as submit their first lift attempt for event #1.
We'll be providing lunch for all athletes and volunteers, catered by a locally owned restaurant, Kozy Kitchen. Menu items include grass-fed beef brisket tacos on gluten free tortillas, and gluten free side items.
The full schedule will be detailed in the athlete packets.

An olympic lifting movement, three attempts (non-consecutive) at a one rep maximum. This event will be scored relative to body weight. The lift and standards will be disclosed in the coming weeks.
|
Specifics: Three attempts at a maximum weight clean and jerk.
Each athlete will have three attempts at clean and jerk. You will submit your first attempt at clean and jerk during packet pick up, and determine your last two attempts during competition. Heat arrangement will be set from lowest attempt submitted to highest attempt submitted.
This will be scored using a simple bodyweight-to-weight lifted ratio (weight lifted/bodyweight). The athlete with the highest coefficient will score first place.
The clean and jerk will be judged based on:
Official USA Weightlifting Association Guidelines.
A special prize will be given for the highest weight lifted regardless of bodyweight, courtesy of Greg Everett and Catalyst Athletics.

A timed metabolic effort, with a cut-off time of ten minutes. The fastest time with proper execution of standard range of motion will win. Any weighted movements will NOT be relative to body weight.
Details and movement standards will be posted Friday night and will be included in the athlete packet.

|
An AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) in 30 minutes or less, scored based on the total amount of repetitions achieved. Partial rounds WILL count, as placing can be determined on as little of margin as one rep. Any weighted movements will NOT be relative to body weight.
Details and movement standards will be posted Friday night and will be included in the athlete packet.

The competition registration is currently capped at 50 athletes, only 4 spots remain.
The 2009 CFDC ACO will be held December 12th, arrive by 7:30AM.
